Historical novel set in Havana and Santo Domingo during the 1930's. Eliades Acosta Matos (1959) is a well-known Cuban researcher who now resides in the D.R. He is the author of two historical novels Cartas históricas que nunca se escribieron (1999) and Hotel Tampa Bay (2005). He has published numerous investigations including La dictadura de Trujillo: documentos (6 vols compilation, 2012), Leviantan tropical: las redes clientelares de Trujillo en America Latina y el Caribe (2018), among many others.
