The questions, themes and other suggestions which follow have been arranged to provide flexibility for the reacher and adaptability for the students. The approach, method, and depth of treatment of each selection will of neccessity depend on the individual teacher's background and involvement, and on the exigencies of motivation the students will indicate to the teacher wether he should treat the selections singly and independently, or attempt to combine two or more of the selections into a more extended, integrated unit of reading, discussion, and instruction. Briefly, the Guide provides materials for regular, structured lessons and for the more informal kind of lesson, for individual study, and for further enrichment.
